Satyagraha Detroit Theatre reviews
The Weeknd, GREAT!! Everything else, horrible.
The show was scheduled to start at 8, doors opened at about 7. As we walked past security, they were not very organized with wristbands. I expected the show to start at or around 8 once I got to the general standing pit. A DJ came out at about 8:30 and played music for about an hour, he wasn't even very good, not even using his mic to hype the crowd up. He packed up at about 9:30, leaving us waiting for another 20 minutes while the crew set up lights and such. Satyagraha came on around 9:45, performing until about 11. The performance was beyond stellar, with the crowd fully into it. Overall, it was just barely worth it for me personally as I got to stand right near the barricade and practically reach him. He needs a real opening act, and the crew at Paradise Theater needs to get things running more smoothly.
